One Stone Capital (Pty) Ltd was established in 2001 and operates within the financial services sector. Our core purpose (or mission) captivates our identity and passion, which is :

"To improve the standard of living for all by innovating, empowering and serving - excellently and ethically".

Historically, asset management has been our primary focus via our first operating company, Umbono Fund Managers (“UFM”), now called OMGXT, trading as Dibanisa Fund Managers in South Africa, which is a joint venture with Old Mutual Investment Group. Currently OMGXT has over R40 billion in assets under management.

Over the years One Stone Capital has diversified its offering within the sector through the following subsidiaries:

• One Stone As’investe (“OSA”) is a retail joint venture between One Stone Capital and Old Mutual Group Schemes. OSA  has an agreement with the South African Post Office (SAPO) which allows it to distribute affordable investment and other financial products through SAPO’s branches nationwide.
• UC Securities is a niche stockbroker, specialising in quantitative and derivatives-based research, UC Securities provides customised client solutions. It is a black-owned company and is a part of One Stone Capital’s strategy to create a fully-fledged financial services organisation.

One Stone Capital provides the focal point to enable its subsidiary companies to provide the products and services that have created a fully-fledged financial services group.
